TPRL 2025 Season Opener - TPRL @ Nürburgring Gp
Delayed but not forgotten: Season One Kicks Off at Nürburgring GP
After a short delay—chalk it up to our new social media intern finding their footing—we're back to recap the dramatic opening round of the True Pace Racing League's inaugural season at the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit.
The green lights brought immediate intensity, with Krukowski and Deiure locking into a battle at the front, closely trailed by Thunderbolt and Danger. A late-braking move from Krukowski into Turn 1 forced Danger wide, opening the door for Roehlke to slip past his Hyperion Dynamics teammate on the inside. Krukowski wasn’t giving up track position easily, though—he traded paint with Roehlke on corner exit, but Roehlke’s line held, slotting him in behind Deiure of Medurik Racing.

Moments later, Krukowski again made contact—this time with the second Hyperion Dynamics car, bumping Thunderbolt wide out of Turn 2 and off the circuit. As the field settled, the end of Lap 1 saw the drivers fall into a more stable rhythm.

On Lap 2, the R8s from 11 Bears Racing executed a swap, with Patel yielding to his teammate in what appeared to be a planned move. That strategy didn’t last long, as Danger lost control and spun on Lap 4, allowing Patel to retake position.

Lap 7 featured a notable battle between Hamilton and Thunderbolt for second place. The Aston Martin had the advantage over the Lexus, and Thunderbolt completed the pass cleanly, showing strong pace and control.

Pit stops shuffled the field further. Hamilton’s strategy didn’t pay off, dropping the Medurik driver to sixth. Late-race misfortunes struck Turbo Tentacle Racing and Hyperion Dynamics alike—Tramontana suffered a tire puncture with just two laps to go, while Roehlke was forced to retire after running out of fuel due to a miscalculation on the Hyperion pit wall.

The final result saw Krukowski take the win, followed by Deiure, Thunderbolt, Danger, Patel, Hamilton, Tramontana, and Roehlke. With an unpredictable and action-filled opener now in the books, teams will no doubt be reviewing strategy ahead of race two. One can only imagine the conversation in the Hyperion Dynamics paddock following Roehlke’s early exit.
